While we are all finding our footing during this time of disruption, the team at XSIGHT is wishing all of our clients their families health and wellness.
During this time we’ve implemented safe communications and practices by scaling back the areas of our business that involve in-person contact to minimize the risk to our team and clients.
We’re happy to say that this does not require a stop to capturing weddings and the moments that are made during your marriage! The approach to wedding photography & video may be slightly different, but our team is nothing if not creative and can help from anything from live-streaming elopements to full scale socially responsible video and photography.
Below is a list of our virtual ceremony options and and we can’t wait to sit down “with” you in our virtual studio, get to know you better and learn more about your story and the vision you have for capturing it!
We offer several live streaming ceremony options that can be customized and secured as a solo service or paired with our other wedding photography and video services.
Although we think that Zoom, Google Meet and all of the other video conferencing tools are great, they are not meant to be used in this way. We will be sending a live feed from our video camera(s) and microphones to a direct internet feed for live broadcast.
Different levels of live stream require different technology, however, we’re happy to go over these items in more detail if you’d like to learn more about our process!
We do not work as an exclusive team and welcome the chance to work in collaboration with other teams to ensure you have the photography and video coverage for your wedding. If you already have a photographer and/or videographer, we can work with them to create a plan for keeping things running smoothly and allowing each team to capture what they’re responsible for.
The only caveat for this is that we will not utilize outside photographers or videographers to use our equipment. So we cannot “rent” our live streaming technology to another video team, but we can certainly work with them to ensure your ceremony is captured the best way possible for all of your friends and family to be a part of!
We have plenty of additional wedding photography and video packages that are more traditional. Those can be found here: XSIGHT Wedding Photography & Video Packages
Our live streaming options are a good add-on or alternative to our more traditional packages and can be customized for your wedding.
We can absolutely stream your ceremony to your personal Youtubelive or Facebook Live page! We offer our own hosting on a custom page as well for anyone who doesn’t want to set up their own accounts, but we’re happy to work with you to stream to your accounts to make it more personal to you!
Please note that all live streaming on social platforms are subject to music copyright laws and all major sites reserve the right to stop and place holds on accounts that stream live videos featuring copyrighted music. This is important to consider as it’s likely that your ceremony procession and recession will have copywrited music and could be flagged. There are exceptions for classical music, but in general, any popular modern music could potentially be flagged. If you have additional questions regarding this, please contact us!
We’ve tailored these packages to what we know will work to capture all the best moments from a wedding day, however, we also know that each wedding is unique! If you’re interested in adding services or customizing one of our packages, please let us know and we’ll figure out the best way to create something that will work for you!
We know there is a lot to consider and many factors to take into account when planning a wedding (especially during this time) and so we try to be as flexible as possible! You can definitely check in with us about upgrading your service after securing us as your wedding photographer and/or videographer, however, we recommend letting us know as soon as possible so we can be sure to meet your request!
The main difference between a highlight and a short film is the ability to tell your story in all the ways it’s unique to you!
More specifically, a highlight is a compilation of all the best wedding moments set to music, usually 3-4 minutes long. A short film is a compilation of your best wedding moments set to music integrated with audio soundbites from your vows, letters that you read to one another, guests toasts, etc set to music, usually 3-5 minutes long and showcased in a cinematic way.
Both of these edits are full-length edits of the events shown in order from start to finish as they happened with minimal editing/removing of content.
For a ceremony edit, we begin with the bridal party processional, highlighting all of your attendants walking down the aisle from different camera angles, the bride’s entrance, hand-off to the groom and transitioning into the ceremony. We cut out any awkward moments (there’s bound to be a few!) or mis-steps, but in the end you have a mini-movie of your wedding ceremony!
For a toast edit, we show all of the reception toasts, focusing mainly on the person giving the toast, but also the couple’s reactions to the funny stories and happy tears. We don’t cut out any parts of the toasts unless specifically requested, but typically remove any awkward or long moments between the guests as they switch speakers.
The ceremony edit is the chance to not only combine all of the camera angles that you have for your ceremony so that we’re showing the best angle at all times, but to also remove any awkward moments, delays, etc. that may happen. It is also color corrected and has the audio cleaned up and equalized.
Even though you do have your live version, the ceremony edit is a more polished completed video of your ceremony.
We know that all events are somewhat up in the air and so we’re happy to work with you as much as possible to reschedule your photography and/or video services if you need to change your wedding date. We just ask that you keep in contact with us so we can work with you as soon as possible to accommodate your new date. We can’t guarantee availability, but we do have a fairly large team and will do everything we can to ensure we’re there to capture your big day!
We realize this is a lot of information! The best way to decide what will work best for your wedding is to schedule a consultation to discuss all of your options with us.
