13 Mar Sabrina & Christopher’s Old Sugar Mill Wedding
Sabrina & Christopher met through family friends, got engaged in July of 2015 and after a year long engagement, finally tied the knot! Their wedding was in Clarksburg’s scenic wine country just a few miles south of Sacramento at The Old Sugar Mill. The venue is a great place for rustic weddings with it’s acres of surrounding vineyards, authentic brick walls, barrel room, and outdoor piazza complete with strings of cafe lights for romantic evening weddings. They even have a refurbished Boiler House for the perfect shabby-chic reception!
Sabrina and Chris had their ceremony in the barrel room and reception in the boiler house. Both locations make for great photos, especially the boiler house with all the natural light that comes in through the tall windows that line the building. In the evening after the sun goes down, all the string lights that are strung from wall to wall provide really romantic soft lighting that make for nice warm photos.
The couple was nervous and excited before the ceremony, but after a few tears (on his part) as she walked down the aisle, they seemed to relax and enjoy the day. We had fun walking through the vineyards and the rest of the Old Sugar Mill property with them for their portraits and finished the day off with the reception in the cool old boiler house. It was a beautiful rustic winery wedding with all the charm that Clarksburg wine scene has to offer! Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Anderson!
